Explaining Flat-Bed Transport

Lowboy Auto Carrier
Flatbeds are needed to ship big units
Flatbed auto transport is actually as it sounds. It includes a flatbed trailer that is connected to a truck, like an open or enclosed trailer and can come in different lengths and widths, given that they meet street guidelines.

It’s a service rarely used, particularly today when most traffic consists of regular cars.

Flatbeds are used mainly by companies with industries in construction, expansion and even military. Despite the fact that flatbed car trailers can transport standard vehicles on them, they're typically just used to transport specific vehicles that won't fit on a regular car hauler.

An example of the kinds of vehicles in which flatbed trailers would be required are: Cargo vans; Oversized pickup trucks; limousines; specialized construction vehicles (bulldozers, cranes, etc); commercial vehicles, including buses and vehicles that can never again work.

Fundamentally, any kind of vehicle that is excessively tall, long, or wide to fit on open or enclosed trailers may require flatbed auto transport carriers. Most of the individuals who may have the need for flatbed auto transport would be a businesses of some type.

How Much Does Flat-Bed Service Cost?

Oversized loads go on a flat bed carrier
Flatbed auto transporting, as referenced, isn't that normal. Its not a service that can be requested like Uber through a simple app. Preparing and logistics planning is necessary due to the types of units flat bed carriers deal with.

This means that you’ll need to plan ahead if you require a flatbed trailer. This is not a regular car hauler.

In contrast to open auto transport or enclosed car shippers, flatbed trailer transporters are not a strategy for auto transportation that you can just call on demand. Much planning is sometimes needed.

There are a few purposes behind this:
First of all, there are so few flatbed transporters out and about.
Flatbed vehicle transport is more costly than open or enclosed dispatching services. This is on the grounds that there are less flatbed vehicle transport carriers out and about than both of their open or enclosed counterparts, and this is for the most part in light of the fact that there's little interest for their services.

Open car haulers can usually ship up to ten cars at a time, while enclosed carriers help to protect vehicles being shipped from the elements and debris on the road. A flatbed car carrier can only haul 1-4 cars depending on size of attached trailer.

Flatbed auto haulers
only haul the big machinery or oversized automobiles. Generally, they’re only used when you need to ship something that can’t fit on a standard open carrier or in the back of an enclosed truck. This does call for logistics planning and coordination to get your big piece of motorized machine from point A to point B while observing and respecting safety laws of the road.
